...just for a few days, but still. I am excited to be in Ohio for the fall season, which we don't have here.
Tao and Autumn, I'm sorry that we can't come to Ohio for Thanksgiving but Ian has "responsibilities" or something down here.
Everyone- Don't forget to vote tomorrow! It doesn't even matter if you vote for the wrong guy! Just vote!

Friends and Dinner Parties
I thought that I would share that Taylor and I hosted our first dinner party last night. It was loads of fun. We had invited over some of our new friends from my work. We had been to their house twice already for dinner so it was our turn now since we finally have a place for people to sit down. We had to set up the poker table so that there was enough room for everyone, I didn't have all the proper serving-ware, and I forgot that we can't buy wine here on Sundays so we went without. But really it was a lot of fun and I think everyone had a good time. Taylor played the part of a very good host.

So? The rest of us are waiting for some stories!
How is it that Mama and David spend a week in Myrtle Beach with Brienne and Ian and we don't hear any of the good stories that I'm sure took place? Come on, you guys! Inquiring minds want to know!

OK, It's Official
It is officially the end of summer now. How can I make this statement? Simple, the chorus had our first rehearsal for the new season last night and I was singing frickin' Christmas music for a couple of hours. Crazy! We were sweating up in the rehearsal space because the church doesn't have air conditioning and singing about snow and Santa Claus!
It was nice to be back at rehearsals even thought we didn't have much of a break this year. After the June concert, the Coastliners did a concert at a park in Cleveland. Then we had the GALA festival in Miami. The Coastliners sang at a commitment ceremony last weekend, we're doing a gig at a church this Saturday, singing for the grand opening of the Hanna Theatre in Cleveland the next week and there is another commitment ceremony (what is it with these gay guys?) the first of October. There is also a chance that the Coastliners are going to be the opening act for Michael Feinstein in Medina sometime in October, but that hasn't been finalized yet.
Enough about me and the chorus. What is rest of the family doing??

Summer's End
OK, so is anyone else bummed out that summer is practically over? I mean seriously! We're only a week from Labor Day! It is kind of weird because for the first time in how many years there isn't anyone getting ready for the first day of school in the Fetty clan. I'm kind of sad. Ian and Autumn, have Brienne and Taylor tell you about the fashion show that they would have to give Wendi and me after we went shopping for school clothes! The two of them really knew how to work the runway, that's for sure!

New Job!
So, as many of you have heard, I finally found a job here in Nashville. Well it is actually in Mt. Juliet, which is a suburb. It is with Environmental Science Corp. ESC is a company that conducts the analysis for environmental samples. They don't do any government work; they work strictly with companies. They analyze samples from all over the US so they are pretty busy and expanding. I will be working as an Assistant Chemist doing chemistry stuff... which should be fun and a good learning experience for me. And I think that there will be a lot of opportunity for advancement in the future. The shift is days Tuesday-Saturday. So Tao and I will still have evenings together (once he gets back) and we will each have a day to ourselves on the weekends which should be nice. It will suck a little always having to work on Fridays and Saturdays but it doesn't really matter. Just means that I can't be out too late. And I will probably have the opportunity to jump on the Sunday-Thursday shift if it opens up. So now I just have to wait for my background check to go through and to take my drug test. And then I should start next week! Yay.

Blogging
Okay so I have been completely oblivious to this blog this whole time. There were messages going on that I didn't know about. I had only ever been to the first strand and had no idea that there were other strands going on. Plus I guess that it doesn't help that I had never explored it and poked around. At first I thought that it emailed me when someone posted something... because it did. But obviously not all of the time because today I discover that there has been all sorts of talking. So sorry.... I wasn't ignoring everyone and being too cool for the blog... I was just lost.

Miami Report
Well to let you all know what the Miami representative is doing, I'm down here for the GALA Choruses festival. There are about 5,000 singers here for the week. The Coastliners perform tonight and then the full chorus will be singing on Tuesday. After that it is just fun! They have concerts running in two different locations from 1-11:00 at night with a break for dinner. Lots of music. Lots of fun. We'll be down here until Sunday! Hopefully, I don't totally burn in the sun. The humidity is horrid!

Happy Fourth of July!
Happy July 4th!
What are everyone's plans for the holiday?
I will be diligently working until late, then I think Ian and I are going to catch some illegal beach fireworks. If he can get off work early enough, we may go to Broadway at the Beach and see the real fireworks!
But it seems that down here the 4th is just another day. This is our busiest week of the whole year. There is no parking anywhere. Everyone staying here thinks they are special. This week costs between $35,000 and $40,000- yes ladies and gentlemen- for 1 week! So everyone thinks they deserve Oceanfront Center, top floor. Not fun!
It isn't the same down here for the 4th. I really miss Orrville's carnival. I loved playing bingo and running into everyone that i have ever known. I miss watching the softball games too. Of course, i miss cookouts and you guys too!
Ok, enough of memory road! I am at work, so I guess I should get back to it!
Muah!
